Here's the amazing thing, I decided about three weeks ago to give up on most of my fast food lunches and I go home instead and walk the dog. Three weeks of doing just that much, and I've already lost about 10 pounds.
After a couple of weeks of walking a half-mile a day, Boomer (my litttle walking buddy) and I have increased our walks to close to a mile.
Give it a try! Of course you should talk to your doctor first, but once you get his ok start walking around your neighborhood. Start at about 15-20 minutes a day and slowly increase the length of your walks.
